Yes even Adults can gain a Medal!  What a great way for you to show your Friends and Family how you are progressing with your Dancing. 

Knowledge of the basic dance steps will build your confidence as a dancer.  The basics are the route to all the more advanced figures to help you grow into a more confident & knowledgable dancer.

You will also find when you have a Goal to work towards  it can be incredibly motivating, and as you get into the habit of setting and achieving goals, you'll find that your self-confidence builds fast.

Please ask The Studio about Medal Exams.  The Exams are run 3 Times a Year with the UKA examination board at the Studio.

All Medal Tests are voluntary you can just learn to dance socially if you wish.  When you have taken a medal Test you can begin to Compete in Medal Competitions.

What a great way for your child to be rewarded for their dedication and work!

There are weekly Tuesday Medal Clubs for children teaching them the dance routines to the relevant medal they will be taking.   Children will be taught Ballroom, Latin & Sequence within this class.

Medal work is the basis of every confident dancer as the basic steps are the roots of more advanced dance figures (steps).  To understand the basic steps & movements will help build your child's knowledge of dance.

A Uni-Ted Award Scheme for the younger Dancers.  The first Award is THE MASTER PLAQUE which comes complete with first balloon.  They can continue with individual Balloons to attach to their Master Plaque.  They will also receive a badge.

Dance Around the World scheme for older children. The first test is a Master Plaque with subsequent flag tests receiving a plaque together with the appropriate flag to be attached to the Master Plaque.  Country flags appropriate to the 10 Ballroom & Latin Dances available. Each child will have the opportunity if they wish to take a medal test.  All Medal Tests are voluntary.

Our Medal Clubs are suitable for age or ability and children are taught suitable routines to reflect their age and level.  The Medal Tests are run 3 times a year at the studio with the UKA examination board.  Children may also compete in Medal Competitions where they can dance with their teacher and or within a couple.

Would you like to dance in a competition?

Medal competitions can be for any age or any level of dancer from the Absolute Beginner to the advanced dancer.

You have the opportunity to put all your hard work into practice and compete as a solo dancer with your teacher or as a dance couple.

You only compete within your age group and medal level against other dance studios. These competitions are great fun and a step in the right direction to competition dancing.
